Candle Care FAQ
1. What kind of wax are the candles made of?
We use an all natural coconut soy wax in all of our candles. We use 100% soy wax in all of our wax melts. Our waxes are free of parabens and phthalates, making it safe to use and free of toxins.
2. Are your products vegan?
Yes, all of our waxes and fragrances are vegan friendly!
3. What safety measures should I take?
- Trim your wick to 1/4" before each burn. This will help avoiding high flames and unnecessary smoke.
- Allow your first initial burn for up to 2-3 hours. This will ensure an even burn and will prevent your candle from tunneling.
- Keep away from children, pets, and flammable objects.
- Caution when handling, container may be hot.
- Do not leave burning candle unattended.
- Do not extinguish your candle with water.
- Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours in one setting. Doing so can cause soot(black smoke) and high flames.
- Soy wax tends to have a rustic look after it has cooled, this is due to the natural make up of the wax and in no way affects the burn of your candle.
4. Can I reuse my candle jar/tin?
Absolutely! To remove remaining wax in the bottom of the container, I find it helpful to place the jar in the freezer for 1/2 hour. This will shrink the wax, making it easy to remove. The jar can then be washed with soap and warm water to remove any excess wax left behind. An alternative way to remove the wax from it's jar is to place your jars on a baking sheet and place it in the oven on it's lowest setting (170 degrees Fahrenheit) for ten minutes. Be careful removing jars from oven and dispose of the melted wax in the trash can. Using a paper towel, wipe wax out of jar and then wash jar with soap and water. To remove wick from jar, use a butter knife or needle nose pliers. Be careful not to scratch your tins. You can reuse your old jars to store make up brushes, flowers, or whatever it is you desire!
